Kolya and Others is a personal multilayered journey through time, space, memory and childhood where Others are material things of the past in a typical dacha (a country house) outside Kiev.
Despite the seeming playfulness of the aesthetics of the 70s, 80s and 90s, the presence of Others becomes dramatically important, providing me with a powerful tool, through which it becomes possible to photograph time.
By juxtaposing it with the young boy, a child of the XXI century, I am reflecting on personal childhood memories and the sense of otherness as well as playing with an imaginary dolls house.
