Islands of Nothingness

I’m so excited about this image as it’s more about what’s 𝘯𝘰𝘵 there than what’s actually in it!
Of course we are looking at the gorgeous trees and the mysterious path, and it’s all perfectly composed, but that’s not what makes this photo outstanding.

The utterly beautiful trees with their elegant and characterful branches are not the main characters here - they are framing those islands of nothingness, of pure white light that I just can’t stop looking into.

Those light portals transcend the photo itself and seem to go on into infinity, leaving us with a sense of inner spaciousness and illumination.

Simply magical yet totally accessible for most of us to observe and capture.
